About The Event
Mechanically reproducing an artwork opens up new possibilities for meaning and expression separate from its original intention and changes the relationship between the work and its audience. This exhibition will explore these ideas by presenting original artwork in any medium next to its high quality, 12” x18” digitally printed counterpart. In a world where technology allows for endless reproduction and manipulation of images, how does the act of reproduction impact the value and meaning of a work of art?
